Nieuw-Zeeland maakt zich op voor cycloon Gabrielle, een van de zwaarste stormen in het land deze eeuw. De bevolking moet rekening houden met zware windstoten en overstromingen.
De storm trekt de komende dagen over het noorden van het land. Auckland, met 1,6 miljoen inwoners de grootste stad van Nieuw-Zeeland, ligt in de baan van de storm.
