Blue Man Group

Blue Man Group

Blue Man Group is a creative organization founded by Phil Stanton, Chris Wink and Matt Goldman.
The organization produces theatrical shows and concerts featuring music, comedy and multimedia; recorded music and scores for film and television; television appearances for shows such as The Tonight Show, Scrubs, FETCH! with Ruff Ruffman, and Arrested Development; and a children’s museum exhibit (“Making Waves”).
The organization’s visual productions are centered on a trio of anonymous mute performers, called Blue Men, who appear in black clothing and blue grease paint over latex bald caps and play a mixture of idiosyncratic, often percussive, instruments.

Sharp Aquos Theatre

One of their current theatrical productions is featured at the Blue Man Group Sharp Aquos Theatre, an attraction located at Universal Orlando Resort.
The attraction, featuring a unique Blue Man Group performance, opened June 6, 2007 in the former Nickelodeon Studios building, that is now part of Universal CityWalk Orlando.
The show features some of the same humor and routines from the other Blue Man shows in the United States, as well as new routines and components not seen in any other show. The setlist ends with a remix finale of “I Feel Love”, unlike the shows in New York, Boston, Chicago, and Las Vegas, which end with “Last Train To Transcentral”. Each show lasts approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Some of the instruments used in the shows are:

  • Zither
  • PVC Instrument
  • Tubulum
  • Airpoles
  • Drumbone
  • Drumulum
  • Piano Smasher
