While the Ramones are most closely associated with their hometown of New York City, bassist Dee Dee Ramone grew up in Berlin, and the city, and Germany as a whole, was mentioned in numerous Ramones songs.<\/p>\n<p>Originally opening in 2005 in Kreuzberg, the museum moved to a new location in Mitte in 2008. And in 2017 it will move again to a new location in Kreuzberg (Oberbaumstra\u00dfe 5). It is also used as an occasional concert venue.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-454\" src=\"https:\/\/oldehanhoff.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Ramones_Museum_Berlin1.jpg\" alt=\"Ramones_Museum_Berlin\" width=\"2074\" height=\"1382\"><\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Layout\" class=\"mw-headline\">Layout<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The museum has more than 500 objects of memorabilia originating from the band members themselves, including clothing, set lists, gear, and promotional items of the Ramones from the years 1975-1996<sup>.<\/sup> Many of the items were collected by museum founder Flo Hayler, and initially stored in his apartment.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"Live_performances\" class=\"mw-headline\">Live performances<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Since moving to its current location, the museum has hosted live performances by bands starting with Alkaline Trio doing an acoustic set in 2009. Later that year, C.J.
