Het rad bevond zicht in de Dockland wijk van de stad, waar het van van december 2008 t\/m september 2021 gedraaid heeft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Het rad sloot helaas in <a href=\"https:\/\/oldehanhoff.nl\/?p=23634\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"23634\">september 2021<\/a> permanent vanwege onder andere de maatregelen rond covid-19, maar dat was volgens veel inwoners van de stad niet de enige reden tot sluiting. Zo was de locatie vanaf de opening al niet echt goed bereikbaar met het openbaar vervoer. En ook werd er de laatste jaren rond om het rad enorm veel gebouwd, waardoor het uitzicht vanuit het rad steeds minder mooi werd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eind <a href=\"https:\/\/oldehanhoff.nl\/?p=23637\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"23637\">december 2021<\/a> werd er een voorstel gepresenteerd om het rad te verplaatsen naar een nieuwe locatie aan de yarra rivier.
