De totale lengte van La Rambla is ruim 1200 meter.<br>La Rambla is een belangrijk verkeersknooppunt voor het openbaar vervoer met bushaltes en ondergrondse metro- en treinstations. Aan beide kanten van La Rambla naast het voetgangersgedeelte is een gedeelte met druk stadsverkeer. Dit monument is gebouwd ter ere van de wereldtentoonstelling van 1888.<br>Het is mogelijk om met behulp van een lift tot een uitzichtplatform te geraken welke zich vlak onder het beeld van Columbus bevind.
