The street takes its name from the former <em>Kurf\u00fcrsten<\/em> of Brandenburg. This very broad, long boulevard can be considered the Champs-\u00c9lys\u00e9es of Berlin\u2014lined with shops, houses, hotels and restaurants. Inparticular, many fashion designers have their shops there, as well as several car manufacturers&#8217; show rooms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The avenue includes four lines of plane trees and runs for 3.5&nbsp;km (2.2&nbsp;mi) through the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf borough in western Berlin.
